🎶Return Trip//Electric Wizard

One more rainy day. It should be like this for another week with some tropical weather mixed.

Hoping for nothing more than the polite rain we’ve been having this week. Peaceful and non-threatening. Un-characteristic for New Orleans but I’ll happily accept it. 

Okay! On to writing. Last night was only mildly productive. I’ll really procrastinate like a mother fucker when it comes to writing. Seems every detail on my website needed to be just right yesterday. Some writing did happen! Made a to-do list and an instagram for 8 A.M. to be on the “safe side,” @8a.m.comic, for those (me, sole contributor and audience at this point) interested. So that's a check off the to-do list! 

But the comic script. Oof, seems to be my toughest endeavor. I had a pretty difficult interaction with an English teacher at your most vulnerable age; 13. He, in summary, called my writing cliche and of course 13 year olds never write cliche material. Me being salty here, I’m sure was trying to challenge me. Thankfully that challenge turned out to be myself and my own critical interior monologue. 

I’m procrastinating now with this entry so I’ll wrap it up, geez. Today it was like 75º so I’m in full blown Halloween, spooky, goth season. Happy first month of Halloween, nerds :P

🎶Blue Skies-BT’s Delphinium Day//B.T. w/ Tori Amos 

Good morning!

I had to google what a delphinium is after seeing the title of this song. It’s a flower! Cute! I assumed it was Greek Mythology stuff or a drug thing I hadn’t heard of.

Getting into the swing of things (hopefully!). Set some critical deadlines for myself this week so I'm not continuing to sit on this comic idea for another 5 years. 2025 feels like the right time, it’ll be 25 years since the DEA raid of the State Palace Theater and if I could get some final form of comic done by then, wow, that would be a great achievement. Feeling, as I have been this whole year, cautiously optimistic but needing to stay motivated and keep my head down and GRIND.

I had a bit of a breakthrough, I felt, with my character ‘DEAL’ who’s always been the most underdeveloped/developed character I’ve had. Last night I made some headway on him, w00t! I feel more confident in his arc. Now just several other characters to go, yikes. 

It’s rainy today and expected to keep up so my only plan on my glorious day off (halleluah) is to keep up with writing. Just made coffee and Sketti the dog is here for moral support.
